Game of Thrones Reveals Cast Auditions But Not Jon Snow's Fate

Who chomped on a carrot?

Jon Snow is, um, still lying in the snow, stabbed and bleeding out. That's all the Game of Thronespanelists at Comic-Con could tell fans on Friday. You didn't really think they'd spoil next season, did you?

Get all the latest Comic-Con news

The Game of Thrones panel is typically low on plot spoilers, and now that the series has surpassed the books on which it's based, there was no other meaty information to be had. A few people still tried to learn the fate of Jon Snow, and not all of them were in the Comic-Con audience. David Nutter, who had directed the season's final two episodes, revealed that he had met Barack Obama, who asked him, "You didn't kill Jon Snow, did you?" The director told POTUS, "Mr. President, Jon Snow is deader than dead."

But we refuse to believe it.

If the panel didn't discuss next year's plot developments, what actually took place? Well, one huge highlight was this reel showing many of the actors' original auditions. It's so charming to see how Gwendoline Christie was clearly born to play Brienne and Natalie Dormer smoldered with sexuality even while miming taking her clothes off. And who chomped on a carrot while doing his/her reading? Watch to find out:

What do you think of the auditions?

Game of Thrones returns for Season 6 on - well, your guess is as good as ours.
