Friday Night's "Hail Mary" May Involve CW, TNT

NBC is looking for someone to huddle with in order to "save" the critically acclaimed (if disappointingly sampled) Friday Night Lights. Confirming that which was reported weeks ago by Ausiello, Variety hears that the Peacock has already had talks with the likes of the CW, E!, G4 and TNT — and next may woo DirecTV — about sharing Friday Night Lights across staggered broadcast windows (à la Law & Order: Criminal Intent, which premieres new stuff on USA, then encores on NBC). Alas, sources tell the trade that one stumbling block could be NBC's high asking price to share the series.
