Frankie Muniz "Disgusted" By Sterling, Wants to Buy Clippers

Longtime Los Angeles Clippers fan Frankie Muniz is standing by his team in the wake of owner Donald Sterling's racist comments and subsequent banning from the NBA.

In a lengthy post on his Facebook page, the Malcolm in the Middle star said he became a Clippers fan in the 1990s (despite being born in New Jersey and raised in North Carolina) thanks to a video game.

"They were the only team that I didn't know who any of the players on the team were, so I didn't mind deleting them and making myself, my mom, dad and my cats (Polly and Pete) the new starting lineup for the team on the game," Muniz explains. "From that day forward in 1994, I have been a die-hard Clippers fan."

Last weekend, a tape surfaced of Sterling telling his girlfriend that he didn't approve of her "associating" with black people. On Tuesday, NBA commissioner Adam Silver fined Sterling $2.5 million, banned him for life from the NBA, and said he's going to do everything in his power to force Sterling to sell the team. "I am a Clippers fan. I've never been a fan of the owner. I never wanted the team to win for the owner," Muniz wrote. "I am a fan of the players, the coaches, and I root for the team to win for the fans. Clipper Nation. I root for the team to win for themselves. For their dreams and aspirations."
