ABC's love for family sitcoms with a point of view continues with American Housewife, starring Katy Mixon (Mike & Molly) as a mother raising three children in a hoity-toity East Coast suburb.

But when her heavyset neighbor decides to move, Katy realizes she has a problem: she's now the second-fattest housewife in town. With an eye on weight and body-image issues, American Housewife looks to tell the story of a woman who may feel comfortable in her skin on the outside, but also deals with self-esteem problems on the inside, all while trying to steer her wayward kids in the right direction.
