DENNIS SACKED!

Monday Night Football suddenly got a lot more decipherable: ABC has dumped wiseacre Dennis Miller. Fellow announcer Dan Fouts also has been let go, although ABC may keep him on to host college football. Taking their place in the booth alongside Al Michaels is John Madden, who asked Fox to release him from his $8 million contract one year early. "I've always had it in the back of my mind that someday I would like to do MNF," said Madden. "If you are a broadcaster, it's something that you would always think of doing."
