Wipe those tears, Degrassi fans! School is back in session.

Just days after TeenNick said it was ending the long-running series, DHX Media's Epitome Pictures announced Tuesday that it will create 20 new episodes of Degrassi: Next Class that will air on Netflix in the U.S. and on Family Channel in Canada next year.

"Following an unprecedented and incredibly supportive 14-year relationship with Bell Media on Degrassi: The Next Generation, we are looking forward to reaching a fresh new audience with Degrassi: Next Class," executive producer Linda Schuyler said. "We are energized and excited to work with Family Channel as we tell stories for the new post-millennial teen cohort known as Generation Z, most of whom weren't even born when Degrassi returned in 2001."

Summer Preview: Where we left off with returning shows

The upcoming season will star returning cast members Amanda Arcuri, Reiya Downs, Ana Golja, Nikki Gould, Ricardo Hoyos, Ehren Kassam, Andre Kim, Lyle Lettau, Spencer Macpherson, Eric Osborne, Olivia Scriven, Sara Waisglass and Richard Walters.

Netflix also teased the reveal to fans Tuesday morning:

TeenNick's one-hour finale will air on Friday, July 31 at 9/8c, preceded by an hour-long retrospective, It Goes There: Degrassi's Most Talked About Moments.
