New Girl gone wild? Viewers can expect some sexy shenanigans tonight when Sam [David Walton] returns to the Fox comedy as Jess's [Zooey Deschanel] latest romantic partner. "The relationship is definitely Jess's most physical she's ever had," teases Walton. "She becomes a little more wild and my character knows how to tap into more carnal urges."

Sam and Jess first hooked up last week when he mistook her for a blind date set up through an online matchmaking site. The two decided to explore the relationship even though they don't appear to have any similar interests outside of the bedroom. "He's the type of guy who doesn't mince words and is extremely direct with people," says the former Bent star. "It becomes a very unique relationship, I don't think one that's been seen on TV maybe ever!"

And of his character's many quirks, Sam's non-ironic love of '90s rock band Creed is one that hits especially close to home for Walton. "I went through a Creed phase — I don't know how [creator] Liz Meriwether found out about that — but it was around sophomore year of college and I'm extremely embarrassed about it," laughs Walton, who laments steep music licensing fees prohibit him from singing any Creed songs on the show. "Heavy Christian rock for a guy in his mid-thirties is definitely a rare love."

New Girl airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
