We didn't think this day would ever come, but the BAU is officially shuttering its doors. Now, before you freak out, you should know that the team will have a chance to say goodbye, as Criminal Minds will end with Season 15 next season, TV Guide has learned.

The final season will be 10 episodes and kick off with a two-part premiere that puts one of our beloved team members in jeopardy, according to showrunner Erica Messer, who spoke with Deadline about the show coming to an end. The final arc will also feature a "worthy adversary" for the team. Casting details are still being worked out, but Messer is hoping to bring back some memorable unsubs as well as cast members for the final run (Shemar Moore is still in town filming S.W.A.T., just in case you were wondering).

Criminal Minds is currently more than halfway through Season 14, which is supposed to end on a much happier note than Season 15's ominous beginning: Rossi (Joe Mantegna) is heading down the aisle.

By the time the show wraps, it will have produced 325 episodes, which makes it one of the top 20 longest-running shows of all time. NCIS, Grey's Anatomy and Law & Order: SVU are the only live-action, scripted series currently on air that have lasted longer. By the time it's over, Criminal Minds will match the season orders of ER and CSI, though, which is certainly not bad company to keep.

The Criminal Minds team will film the final 10 episodes this spring to film straight through after Season 14 is completed. The final season will air at a yet to be determined time next TV season.

Deadline was the first to report the news.

Criminal Minds' Season 14 finale airs Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10/9c on CBS.
