The daughter of playwright David Mamet and actress Lindsay Crouse is stealing scenes on a pair of Sunday-night cable gems, as the hysterically needy Shoshanna on HBO's new comedy Girls (she's the one who's obsessed with Sex and the City) and as lesbian hipster Joyce on AMC's Mad Men (she's the one who was flashing around the crime-scene photos of the Richard Speck murders in last week's episode). We're mad about her.

Mamet isn't the only celebrity scion adding to Girls' buzz: Allison Williams, the child of NBC anchorman Brian Williams, is also an instant charmer as the levelheaded Marnie. And the show's brilliant writer-director-editor-star, Lena Dunham, is the offspring of artsy photographer Laurie Simmons, who costarred in her daughter's 2010 breakout film Tiny Furniture and guested on Gossip Girl. No wonder these Girls went into showbiz!
