CBS has ordered two more editions of Survivor, set to be broadcast during the 2009-2010 television season. The new cycles will extend broadcast TV's longest-running reality competition to its 19th and 20th editions.
Probst, who won the first reality-TV hosting Emmy ever, will continue his duties as emcee.
Survivor premiered in May 2000, and has anchored CBS's Thursday lineup since February 2001. Past versions of the show have taken contestants to China, the Australian Outback, the Amazon jungles and Fiji. The current season is set in Tocantins, in the Brazilian highlands.
