Looks like the Primetime Emmys aren't the only annual TV institution suffering from lagging interest. Only 9.8 million viewers tuned in to see Miss Alabama Deidre Downs crowned Miss America 2005 on ABC Saturday night. That's 500,000 fewer than last year's lackluster Nielsen turnout.
