Bruce Beresford-Redman, the former Survivor producer who was charged with his wife's murder two years ago, says he did not kill her.
In his first interview — from a Mexican prison cell — Beresford-Redman tells 48 Hours Mysterythat there are "no facts" to support claims that he killed his wife, Monica, who was found dead in a sewer at a Cancun resort in April 2010. An autopsy showed that she died from asphyxiation after suffering a blow to the right temple.

Former Survivor producer arrested in wife's murder

"Everyone seems to have decided, a long time ago, that I killed my wife. I didn't kill my wife. I really didn't. There's no facts to support it. I don't think that there's any circumstantial evidence to support it," he says in the interview airing Saturday. "I would think that the people who know me well would think that it's something that I'm incapable of — I don't think that I've ever physically touched another person in anger since, I don't know, seventh grade maybe? You know, I think I got into a shoving match with somebody in seventh grade... You know it's — it's just silly. It's ludicrous."Beresford-Redman was arrested in connection to Monica's murder in November 2010 and spent more than a year in California federal prison. He was extradited to Mexico two weeks ago and was ordered to stand trial last Wednesday.

Mexican prosecutors seek arrest of former Survivor producer

The producer, who has two children with Monica, says he has submitted evidence, including witness testimony, that exonerates him and points out that the physical evidence collected from the crime scene has since mysteriously vanished."For anyone who really believes as you're supposed to believe in America that you're innocent until you're proven guilty, please, take a look at the evidence, or in this case the absolute complete lack of evidence, and don't rush to judgment based on something that you've heard," he says. "This is not CSI or Law and Order or any of those shows, where at the end we have a satisfying resolution. I doubt that there will ever be a satisfying resolution for this because, the evidence is gone. Even if I do manage to get off, I don't know if Monica's killers will ever really be caught."Watch the clips below. 48 Hours Mystery airs Saturday at 10/9c on CBS.
