Chris Brown's sentencing was delayed until Aug. 27 due to incomplete paperwork regarding community labor details.

Judge Patricia Schnegg said Wednesday she was still awaiting full paperwork from Brown's home state of Virginia about whether it could accommodate her community labor request. Schnegg said she preferred hard labor over community service.She did not say why the paperwork was not in order yet.Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault on Rihanna in June. His plea deal calls for five years of probation and six months of community labor.Rihanna did not attend the hearing. Brown turned himself into police the night of the Grammys on Feb. 8. Police said a woman, who was later identified as Rihanna, reported she had been attacked by Brown hours before the show.
