Was there ever any doubt?
In a totally unsurprising turn of events, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz have signed on to reprise their roles as Jane Chapman, Renata Klein and Bonnie Carlson in Big Little LiesSeason 2.
HBO's hit mystery series about the secret lives of wealthy Monterey mothers and the murder they commit became an instant favorite when it premiered in February of 2017. It's made a killing at several awards shows -- including Emmy and Golden Globes wins for Dern -- since then, and now it looks like they've finally got the whole band back together for Season 2 of what was supposed to be a limited series.
Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman signed on to the second season right away, with Meryl Streep signing on to play Perry's (Alexander Skarsgard) mother last month.
It wasn't exactly troubling that it took so long for Woodley, Dern and Kravitz to sign on, since there was virtually no way any of these women would pass on the opportunity to bring this story back to life, but we're relieved nonetheless that they're officially on board.
Big Little Lies Season 1 is currently streaming on HBO Now.
