Although Ariel Winter's mom claims she caught the Modern Familystar in bed with her 18-year-old boyfriend, a new report from the New York Daily News says the actress actually split with her older beau months before the alleged incident.

Winter, 14, was removed from her home last week amidst abuse allegations against her mother, Chrystal Workman. Shortly after, a police reported surfaced in which Workman made the claim that she caught Winter in bed with her boyfriend on the night of Sept. 24.

In the report, it said that Workman had been trying to break the two up because of their age difference, and Workman also said it was because of that relationship that Winter asked a judge to grant her older sister temporary custody.

However, a source tells the Daily News that Winter and her boyfriend, actor Cameron Palatas, broke up "months before" the alleged incident took place. When asked for comment, Workman told the newspaper,"Yes, I stand by [the police report] ... I can't say anything more. This is a very sad situation. Just pray for my family."

TMZ also reports through a source that Winter says her mother is lying about walking in on her and Palatas. A second source tells the site she has never been intimate with a boy.

Winter's older sister, Shanelle Gray, has temporary custody over Winter, and Workman has been ordered to stay away from Winter pending a follow-up hearing on Nov. 20.

"Ariel is doing well and she has a lot of people who are loving her and supporting her at this time, and I'm pretty confident that she'll fare well through all of this," Winter's lawyer, Amir Pichvai, told People last week.
