Everyone who is old enough to remember a time before Y2K but isn't yet complaining about chronic back pain likely also remembers the pure joy and sheer terror that often came from watching an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?. But do you actually remember the Nickelodeon horror series aimed at younger audiences? Sorry, let me rephrase: Do you remember it beyond that one episode about the idiot kid who stole a clown's nose and ruined clowns for pretty much everyone? Because the series, which originally ran from 1992 until 1996, actually featured quite a few familiar faces over the years.

Jewel Staite, still a couple years out from the Disney series TV show Flash Forward (OMG, do you remember Flash Forward?) appeared in a Season 3 episode, Gregory Smith popped up in a guest role in Season 4, and everyone's favorite Canadian Ryan, Ryan Gosling, was in Season 5. Meanwhile, Elisha Cuthbert appeared as a regular in the revived series that ran from 1999 to 2000. (In case you still can't tell, Are You Afraid of the Dark? was a co-production between the U.S. and Canada.)

Check out the video above to see who else made an appearance on the creepy TV series, either as a member of the Midnight Society or as a guest star. Fair warning: It's scary when you realize just how many years have passed since the show aired and how old you actually are now.
