Witchcraft Reviews

Decent horror film has Chaney, a warlock, trying to protect the family cemetery from being dug up by arch-enemy Hedley. The cemetery is filled with witches burned at the stake 300 years earlier, and bulldozing arouses them from their deep slumber. A number of mysterious happenings are directed mainly at Hedley's family, but the discovery of Chaney's true identity soon puts an end to the hokum. Production maintains the proper eerie atmosphere, which theater owners tried to heighten during WITCHCRAFT's initial release by issuing witch deflectors to patrons. Chaney, in one of the last roles in which he was called upon actually to act, appears a bit rusty.
