This biographical drama features American fictionist Flannery O'Connor in the 1950s. The film follows the life of the Southern Gothic writer from the time she was diagnosed with lupus at age twenty-four. Since lupus also took her father away, she is determined to make something of herself before she succumbs to the disease.
