Where the Hot Wind Blows Reviews

A peaceful Sicilian fishing village serves as the background for some not very pleasant hanky-panky. Montand plays an unscrupulous gangster who goes so far as to seduce his son's gal, Mercouri, in order to keep the two from marrying. Mercouri reacts by jumping to her death. Meanwhile, the vivacious Lollobrigida takes to raising money for her dowry by organizing a gang of kids to pick the pockets of tourists. At least her purpose, to marry engineer Mastroianni, is noble, and she does remain faithful to him despite advances of seemingly every male in sight.
