A lively musical which is typical of those that sprang up during WW II. O'Connor becomes man of the house when dad Dix gets called up for duty. To boost morale, O'Connor gathers up his sisters and classmates and puts on a show in a local factory. He even gets Count Basie to show up. Songs include: "Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams" (Ted Koehler, Harry Barris, Billy Moll), "Basie Boogie" (Count Basie), "Dream Lover" (Clifford Grey, Victor Schertzinger), "Dark Eyes," "Jurame," "The Road Song," and "Romany Life" (adapted by Inez James, Buddy Pepper).
