Six early Tom Mix one-reelers from his days with the Selig Polyscope Company are featured on this compilation tape: Jimmy Hayes and Muriel (1914), stars Mix as a soldier, falsely accused of desertion, who redeems himself under fire; The Stage-Coach Driver and the Girl (1915), co-stars Louella Maxam as an Eastern girl saved from a gang of bandits by a chivalrous Mix; Sagebrush Tom (1915), in which Tom becomes involved with a movie actress (Goldie Colwell); An Arizona Wooing (1915), a triangle melodrama involving Mix, Maxam and series regular Pat Chrisman; Roping a Bride (1915), a comedy triangle involving Mix, Goldie Colwell and series regular Sid Jordan; and, finally, Local Color on the A-1 Ranch (1916), co-starring Mix's future wife, Victoria Forde as an Eastern sketch artist tricked by a gang of humorous cowboys on a western ranch. All the films were directed by Mix himself.
