Robert F. Kennedy was a forceful speaker who convinced many listeners who heard him address civil rights and poverty issues that he truly cared about helping Americans in crisis. Prior to his assassination in 1968, he delivered a number of impressive speeches that are featured in whole or in part during this program. There are clips from campaign speeches he made while running for Senator, his comments on the death of Martin Luther King, and a speech he made to the Democratic convention in which he eulogized his slain brother, President John F. Kennedy. Most of the clips are long enough to give listeners a true sense of this man's scripted and spontaneous speaking talents. Footage from various 1960s events is shown during several of the speech segments.
