The story for this film is taken from the 1907 poem by Robert W. Service. Dangerous Dan McGrew (Lew Cody) is the career gambler who steals the actress Lou (Barbara LaMarr) away from her husband Jim (Percy Marmont) and travels to New York City. Lou becomes a cabaret star on Broadway before she and Dan head for the North country. Jim catches up with the couple years later and seeks revenge against Dangerous Dan.
