Silly but fun crime drama starring Bennett as a former crook turned scientific crime investigator. Forming a secret society of forensic scientists, he attempts to convince police departments nation-wide that detective work through chemistry is the answer to their crime-solving problems. The seven scientists pick a large American city at random, and, with the help of the chief of police's daughter, Rice, the plucky crew proves that a gang led by the nasty MacLane is connected to a series of unsolved murders.
