The Secret of Blood Island Reviews

A fairly silly WW II film starring Shelley as a British secret agent who finds herself hiding in a POW camp in Malaya after her plane was shot down by the Japanese. Though the Japanese know she is somewhere on the island, Shelley is kept right under their noses by prisoner of war Hedley and his cell mates. The Japanese suspect they know something, so they begin to torture the prisoners for information. Two of them crack, and Shelley is captured and tortured. Realizing that she's more important to them alive, the Japanese decide to ship her to Singapore for expert interrogation. Luckily, the other prisoners cause a diversion allowing her to escape and getting themselves killed in the progress. Once again, though this British film was shot in Eastmancolor and released that way in England, the American prints are all black & white.
