Archival newsreel segments include "Veterans of Future Wars," from Princeton, NJ; "Arson Squads in Action" (U.S.); "Florida Canal"; Field Trials" (U.S.); "League of Nations Union," from Geneva, Switzerland; "Railroads," concerning the U.S. railroads suffering from competition by bus lines and developing airlines; "King Cotton's Slaves," about the single-crop system becoming a thing of the past in the Deep South; "Relief" (U.S.); "Texas Centennial," about the anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo; "An American Dictator," a report on the beginning of President Trujillo's regime in Santo Domingo; "Crime School"; "Revolt in France"; "Otto of Hapsburg"; "Jockey Club"; "Highway Homes"; and "Albania's King Zog." Gleaned from newsreels produced by Time Magazine during the years 1935-1951, the monumental March of Time videotape series features the "pictorial journalism" that informed, educated, and entertained millions of Americans for 16 years.
