Comedy-drama about a salesman (Jack Oakie) who becomes involved with a young lady (Jean Arthur) and tangles with crooks out to get her father. William Boyd, Wynne Gibson, William Morris, Francis McDonald, Albert Conti. Directed by A. Edward Sutherland.

Comedian Oakie is a small-town stooge who, through his bumbling, puts a number of gangsters behind bars. He gets himself caught in the crossfire of two warring gangs, and when a mob boss orders him to abduct a young woman, Oakie tells him that it's against the law and he'll get arrested. This well-written comedy uses the then-very-popular gangster genre with hilarious results.
