The File of the Golden Goose Reviews

Brisk crime drama starring Brynner as a US Treasury agent who combines forces with Scotland Yard detective Woodward to bust up a counterfeit gang known as the Golden Goose. The pair join the gang to gather inside information about its operation, but Brynner suspects that Woodward has gone over to the other side when the detective and gang member Gray suggest the three go into business for themselves. Brynner is proved wrong when Gray tricks Woodward into revealing his true identity and kills him. Gray, in turn, is killed by the gang for acting independently. Brynner (whose cover has not been blown) is then taken to the crime boss's headquarters. There, one of the gang members discovers the T-man's identity and promises to turn state's evidence. When the would-be stoolie is killed, Brynner takes revenge on the murderer and, with the help of Scotland Yard, smashes the counterfeit ring.
