When his father is shot as a partisan by the Germans, and his mother and sisters are sent to concentration camps, a little Yugoslavian boy (Ray) is adopted by Germans. The boy grows up happily, but then his mother emerges from Auschwitz and tries to regain custody. The sentimental but worthwhile drama is based on a true story from Life magazine.
