Doctor experimenting in the Louisiana bayou country discovers a serum derived from the title reptile that allows humans to regenerate lost limbs. Too bad it has this peculiar side effect that eventually changes the serum receiver into a 'gator. In this rather interesting horror film with an unusual premise, Garland and Chaney turn in a couple of above-par performances.
