Here's one doggone good comedy-drama set in a small Maine town during the Depression. Jordan-Claire Green is superb as a 12-year-old girl who is sent to live in a sleepy burgh where canines are banned. She sets out to change the policy by hounding the villainous town dogcatcher and his brother, the mayor. Directed by Kieth Merrill, who cowrote the script with Emma Kragen and Steven Paul Leiva. Susan Wood, Richard Riehle, Eric Lutes, Mindy Sterling, John Billingsley, Adam Hicks.
