Director John Woodward highlights a semi-comic case of miscarried justice in this account of a true life incident in which an innocent woman was nearly imprisoned for offering discount table dances. When the Texas vice squad raids a small dance club, few could have seen the legal fiasco that was about to ensue. Now, bungled facts, questionable investigation methods, and high level corruption all combine to present a textbook example of criminal justice gone horribly awry. As the arresting officers take the stand only to reveal the deeply embarrassing incompetence of local law enforcement, the truth gradually begins to emerge revealing that it was the authorities, not the accused, who truly should have been put on trial.
