Sons of New Mexico Reviews

Autry becomes the executor of a friend's estate and gets a juvenile delinquent in the deal. He has to try like the devil to keep the kid away from flashy gambler Armstrong, who keeps trying to snare the kid so he can get the money. Autry sends the boy to military school, but the boy runs to Armstrong. Finally, the kid realizes he is in pretty deep, so Autry and the military cadets come to the rescue. Autry has his hands full with the boy and only stops to sing two songs. The film also marks Davis' first screen appearance in an Autry film. She would go on to costar with him in many features for Columbia and become TV's Annie Oakley.
