In this drama, a retired clerk finds it difficult to escape his nattering bad-tempered wife. Just to get away, the fellow joins a bookie joint. It is a successful business, and soon other crooks try to muscle in on the operation. Fortunately, the ingenious fellow thwarts their plans.

After retiring from his clerical job, Atkinson must deal with his nagging wife. To escape her nasty tongue the henpecked husband gets involved with a bookmaking outfit. Some hustlers want to muscle in on the business, but, thanks to Atkinson's clever actions, all works out in the end. Minor and forgettable, this originally was released in a 72-minute version but lost 22 minutes with no harm at all.
