Shock Chamber Reviews

Reviewed By: Jeremy Wheeler

The only thing "shocking" about Shock Chamber is how incredibly bland it is! For a horror anthology, it fails in every respect -- except for the simple fact that it is composed of three different stories. The box art shows promise, but this shot on video Canadian stinker couldn't be more un-horriffic if it tried. Suspenseful? Nope. Not in the least. The tales do all end up with twist endings, but by the time you get to them, you could either care less or have already fallen asleep and dreamt of watching Raimi and Verhoeven films. Acting, directing, lighting... it's all bad. The scariest thing about this clunker turns out to be the costumes and hair! The score by Peter Dick is good for a few laughs, but can nowhere near save Shock Chamber. You may find some delirious delight by the time you make it to the end, but otherwise, you'll have a better time at a root canal.
