Hopalong Cassidy (William Boyd) looks for a gold mine. Lucky Jenkins: Russell Hayden. California: Andy Clyde. Trudy Pendleton: Eleanor Stewart. Ace Gibson: Morris Ankrum.

Boyd, Hayden, and Clyde ride off to find the mine owned by Stewart, who was swindled out of its ownership by gambler Ankrum. The cowboys find the mine and a wild fistfight between Boyd and Ankrum wins the gold back for Stewart. A weak entry in the Hopalong Cassidy series, but with some stunning photography in uncharted filmic territory around the base of Mt. Whitney in California.
