Gwenn is a devoted tugboat captain who throws an eventful party upon learning that he has won a soccer pool. His local pub fills with friends--some of whom want a share of the earnings. Even his daughter is targeted by a greedy chap who thinks he can sweet-talk his way into her purse. When Gwenn learns that his best friend, O'Dea, forgot to post the pool ticket, the problem of how to spend the money is quickly solved. As a consolation, Gwenn is put in charge of the best tugboat on the river--a prize worth much more to him than money.
