During an air-raid test, an innocent man (Robert Preston) convicted of murder escapes and tries to prove his innocence. Preston, the inventor of an anti-aircraft device, is framed for a murder, convicted, and sentenced to death. As he's being taken to the prison there is a city wide blackout and the handcuffed Preston escapes. He meets O'Driscoll, who helps him find the enemy agents who set him up. A well-paced B action melodrama.
