Not Quite Decent Reviews

A part-talkie, with only the last 15 minutes containing any spoken dialog. Dresser plays a matronly nightclub performer who takes Collyer under her guidance. Collyer gets involved with a shady character and Dresser comes to her rescue. As the two become closer, it becomes known that Collyer is Dresser's daughter, who was taken from her when her husband passed away. Most of the sound portion of the film is made up of songs. The film was made during Prohibition, and contains scenes involving speakeasies and characters connected with bootleggers.
