Cabot is a reporter for a daily that gives town boss Warner a lot of flack when Warner's daughter, Allen, who wants to try her hand at reporting, takes over Cabot's column. This gives the writer a chance to write a savage attack on the bigwig, causing strife between him and Allen. But everything is settled when Allen is caught in a blaze at her father's paper factory and Cabot rescues her. Good playing does little to rescue this poorly paced story.
