Native Land Reviews

Based on US Senate Civil Liberties Commission records and other public documents, this is American propaganda at its finest. Paul Robeson narrates this drama which is designed to instill patriotism in the little man. Encouraging the American worker to perform at top efficiency while producing munitions, it rightly knocks the Ku Klux Klan, labor spies, and land barons--almost anyone considered a threat to the working man. NATIVE LAND presents a series of violations of the Bill of Rights through reenactments. One scene depicts an assault on a Michigan farmer who dares to raise his voice at a farmers' association meeting; another shows the murders of two sharecroppers by vigilantes.
