When two children take a vacation on an island, they meet two residents their age. The four become friends and together discover that a smuggling operation is being run out of a local bird sanctuary. Gauge tries to stop the youthful quartet, but his efforts are to no avail; the kids turn the gang over to authorities. This children's mystery is nicely told, with good pacing. Fine entertainment for younger viewers.
