Morgan Stewart's Coming Home Reviews

The film begins as lonely boarding school student Morgan (Jon Cryer) learns that his parents, wimpy Senator Tom Morgan (Nicholas Pryor) and ambitious socialite Nancy (Lynn Redgrave), will not have time to celebrate the holidays with him once again. A few days later, he is shocked to learn that they have had a sudden change of heart and have sent for him to come home--permanently. But he soon learns that his homecoming is merely a political ploy designed by his father's campaign manager Jay Springsteen (Paul Gleason) to give the senator a more family-oriented image that will appeal to voters. Saddled with a dim-witted script, this picture's only saving grace is a fine perforance by the energetic Cryer.
