Moonlight in Vermont Reviews

Manufactured by the musical cookie cutter, this standard picture has a backwoods girl from the hills of Vermont (Jean) leaving her serene home to attend a lively New York drama school. Her cash flow soon comes to a halt and she is forced to return home to help on the farm. To lend a hand, her classmates head for the Vermont fields and put on a climactic barnyard show. Songs include: "Something Tells Me," "Be a Good Girl," "Dobbin and a Wagon of Hay," "Pickin' the Beets" (Sidney Miller, Inez James, sung by Gloria Jean), "They've Got Me in the Middle of Things," "After the Beat" (Miller, James, sung by Ray Malone, Betty McCabe, Vivian Austin), "Lover" (Lorenz Hart, Richard Rodgers).
