After his disgusted railroad-magnate father tells him to take a walk, a previously unambitious young fellow goes all out to prove himself, working at his dad's railroad yard incognito and risking death in a climactic act of heroism in this inter-generational drama of the rails.

When a railroad owner kicks his carefree son, Hall, out of the house, the young man uses a pseudonym to get a job at his father's railroad yard, hoping to make good. The chance for redemption comes when an escaped convict cuts a freight car loose. Hall thrashes the villain and sidetracks the runaway car. Some good action in an otherwise standard drama.
