Simin is an Iranian American working for the Census Bureau. Her task is to interview people to record their dreams. Unknown to her, the agency's real purpose is to find new ways to control citizens. Simin does social media impersonations in Farsi of her American interviewees to deal with her own past trauma. She meets more quirky characters and finds herself in strange situations. Such things would lead her to question what it means to be free in America.
