King of the Sierras Reviews

A different, awkwardly told western involves a story about two horses. Bosworth is an old uncle telling his four-year-old nephew (Harvey Jr.) the story of a white horse that protects his mares from a black stallion. The horse footage is integrated into the old man's story but really doesn't work well. This film is at its best when the humans shut up and the horses are left to their own devices. The animals actually aren't too bad, despite the cliched plot they're stuck in. However, they don't seem to mind and make this an enjoyable fable for the kiddies.
