Joe Palooka Meets Humphrey Reviews

While Joe Palooka (Joe Kirkwood, Jr.) and his bride (Pamela Blake) are off on their honeymoon, Joe's manager, Knobby Walsh (Leon Errol, who also plays an English manager), books his charge for a charity fight against Humphrey (Robert Coogan), a nice-guy pug long on brawn but short on smarts. Coogan, who performs well here, repeated his role in another entry in the "Joe Palooka" series, HUMPHREY TAKES A CHANCE. Frequently amusing, though never sidesplitting, JOE PALOOKA MEETS HUMPHREY is no better or worse than most of the series' films.
