Invasion of the Animal People Reviews

The Swedes and their American cohorts took a lesson from the Japanese on this rampaging-monster movie, selectively cutting and adding new scenes for the English-language release of their film. Star power was added in the form of Carradine--the Japanese more often used Raymond Burr--as the good investigative scientist originally played by Burton (who was downgraded to the role of Carradine's assistant). Mysteriously traumatized Wilson is sent to northern Sweden to recuperate with her geologist father, Carradine, who is investigating a strange meteor that recently fell to earth on a mountain in Lapland. The "meteor" proves to be a spaceship lodged in the snow, with enormous footprints leading from it. Wilson is captured by a hairy critter, but Carradine and Burton cause an avalanche that scares the furry fiend so much it packs up and takes off for home.
