Remake of a 1920 silent film of the same title has Baxter murdered by a former sweetheart and returning as a ghost because he cannot rest knowing that an innocent person is being convicted for the crime. His ghostly form comes to his widow, Leeds, and she helps him bring justice to murderer Bari. Idea is farfetched but it is carried off well.
